Workspace: smooth light-colored walls without moiré fringes or moving objects (curtains, doors, fans)

The camming room should be spacious. Light needs space and volume, you also need to take into account the need for close-ups and long shots. Pay attention to the following videos in Tips and tricks section to attain better results:

Recommended system requirements for 1 VR and 2-3 2D streams for NANO1:

Video card: Nvidia GTX 950+/1050+. Older cards are not supported.

Processor: Intel i5-9600T/ i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2400

The optimal lighting setup consists of 3 to 4 sources. There should be an overhead (ceiling), diffused light, and at least two light sources placed on the sides (softboxes are a great option).

If you prefer to use table lamps or floor lamps instead of professional lighting, keep in mind that the side light sources should be located at eye level of the model or higher.  If they only highlight the model from below, it will cast unpleasant-looking shadows on their face.

These parameters will be indicated on the package.

Choose the most suitable type of lighting for you. Warm light can work well for one person, but cold light can work better for someone else. 

When you pick the right shade, make sure that all light sources you purchase have the same Kelvin value. For example, all lamps are 4200K. Otherwise, your broadcast will be riddled with unpleasant light spots and ripples.

Wrong positioning can cause your footage to become overexposed which will be annoying for the user and will cause them to leave the room.

2. Agree with the site rules and proceed with the registration process.

3. Fill in all the fields. Pay attention to the tips.

In the Studio Name line, you must specify the studio's name to which you want to add the model.

In the Model Name line, you need to set the nickname you want to select for the added model.

In the E-mail line, you need to indicate the e-mail address to which you wish to receive notifications regarding the registration process.

In the Password line, you need to specify the password for the model account.

Note: The password must be more than eight characters and it must contain uppercase and lowercase letters, at least one number, and one symbol. 

4. Prepare documents: a photograph of a person holding a passport and a scan of the ID itself.

7. The status of the application will be sent to the e-mail specified during registration.

Connect your camera to your PC and install the VR software

USB Type-c used to connect the camera to a PC

Take your camera out, set it up on a tripod or something else, and plug in the power. 

Please note: a tripod is not included with the camera.

In order to connect the camera to the computer, take out the USB-C from the box and connect it to the corresponding port of the computer and the camera. Watch the video "Connect the camera to the computer and install the VR software ".

1. Hold the camera POWER ON button for 1 second. The power indicator will flash blue.

2. The camera is connected and ready for use. Make sure the blue power indicator is not blinking.

It is very important to install the VR camera so that it stays in place but at the same time you’re able to adjust the angle.

You may need to move the camera to a different location in the room or change the viewing angle during the broadcast, so we recommend choosing a mount with 2-axis adjustment.

When setting it up on a table, make sure the camera doesn’t shake during typing. This creates an earthquake effect for the user.

Pantograph + ball head for a tripod with lock. Pay attention to the fact that the thread format of the pantograph and the ball head fixator need to match. They are available in either 3/8 or ¼ options. Find out this information when ordering a mount.

Connect the camera to your computer and install the VR software

We recommend that the distance between you and the camera is about 1 meter, whilst the size of the room should be at least 15m².

Recommended camera positioning from the ground is at eye level of the model.

VR user sees more than 2D, so take this into account when preparing the room for broadcast.

Remove all vertical and moving objects (microphone, doors and windows, curtains, etc. should not be in the frame).

There should be enough light sources, and they should remain outside the field of view.

Adjust the volume of the speakers, so that you can hear the user.

Pay attention to the music: in order for you to be heard, it should not be too loud.

Position the lamps so that they are outside of the field of view of the camera. Wrong positioning can cause your footage to become overexposed which will be annoying for the user and will cause them to leave the room.

1 VR Camera: In this tab you can adjust the image from the VR camera and receive information regarding the VR camera in usage.

2 2D Camera: If a 2D camera is directly connected to Dreamsender, in this tab you can adjust the 2D camera settings.

3 Streams: This tab contains a list of connected platforms and links to broadcast in VR and 2D.

4 Device: Here you can examine and configure the list of connected devices: VR and 2D cameras and a microphone.

5 Gyro: This tab displays gyroscope information. Here, you can make sure that the position of the VR camera is within the recommended value range or set up the camera using a more comfortable angle within the recommended gyroscope values. If the VR camera is at an angle, an exclamation mark will appear next to the Gyro icon. The red numbers will tell you how to rotate the camera. Roll is responsible for the vertical position, and TOLL is for the horizontal.

6 Settings: Here you can adjust the bitrate, encoding parameters for 2D and VR, change the preview, check the stereo and configure sound notifications from the platform (which are disabled by default).

 Start DreamSender and log in by pressing the SIGN IN button. Use the username and password from the Dreamcam.com website to log in.

 Select a VR camera, click on the START button located on the right side of the camera selection column.

How do you know if DreamSender was set up properly?

 • VR and 2D cameras are connected, the STOP indicator is on.

 • 2D camera resolution is specified at at least 1280x720, 24-30 fps.

 • the microphone source is selected, and the ON indicator is green. The specified sample rate is 48,000 Hz.

 • Bitrate is specified in VR ENCODING settings: 5000 - 10,000, GOP = 100.

 • Bitrate is specified in 2D ENCODING settings: 1200-2500, GOP = 50-60.

 • Camera tilt angles are within the recommended range.

You can verify that in the DreamSender "Gyro" tab.

If the VR camera is at an angle, an exclamation mark will appear next to the Gyro icon. The red numbers will tell you how to rotate the camera. ROLL is responsible for the vertical position, and TOLL is for the horizontal.

How to start?


If you have forgotten your password, click on Forgot Password in the authorization form. Instructions for password recovery will be sent to the e-mail address you entered during registration.

2. Go to the model's profile by clicking on the avatar in the right corner and selecting "My profile".

Please note that the profile photo will be cropped for demonstration on the model list. When you upload a photo, you will see in the background a preview of the photo in the form in which it will be displayed on the list of models.

There are certain requirements for profile photos:

 The photo must be taken in good lighting.

 The photo must be in PNG, JPEG, or JPG formats.

 b. Select the desired photo in one of the folders on your device in a window that opens.

 c. Press the Open button to upload the photo.

Status. In the line, you can tell about your mood or specify some action from the Tip-menu. Visitors will see your status underneath the stream window. The maximum status length is 254 characters. The status can be changed at any time.

Country. Indicate the country where you are from or where you currently reside in.

Gender. Your gender is set to Male by default.

Age. Your age is set to 18 years by default.

Languages. Indicate the languages in which you can communicate with visitors. Any number of languages can be added.

Info. Describe yourself and talk about your interests. This will help cultivate a friendlier atmosphere between you and your visitors. The maximum length of the text in the this column is 254 characters.

Blocked countries. If you do not want visitors from any country to see you on the site, then you can specify the country in this line. You can select any number of countries. After saving the settings, visitors from the selected countries will not see you in the list of models and will not be able to join your stream.

5. Set the price and minimum duration of a private chat.

Private show, Tokens / Minute (Cost of a private show in tokens per minute). The minimum price of a private chat is 8 tokens per minute. When registering, the default cost is set to 1 token. It must be changed.

Minimum duration, Minute (The minimum duration of a private show in minutes). The minimum number of minutes, the cost of which will be deducted from the visitor's account after the start of the chat. When registering, the default duration of the private show is set to 1 minute.

For instance, if you selected the price of 8 tokens per minute and the minimum duration of 10 minutes, then in order to go private with you, the visitor's account must have at least 80 tokens. Regardless of whether they actually spend 10 minutes with you or leave after 5, the total cost of the minimum private duration will still be billed as 80 tokens.

Spy mode is a mode for spying on your private chat with another user. It’s an easy way of generating additional income. This peeping mode will last as long as the private show, unless the user decides to leave. When registering on the platform, the Spy mode is disabled by default.

a. Toggle the Enable spy mode button to switch between an ON and an OFF state. The ON state is highlighted in blue.

b. Specify the cost of peeping in the Spy show line, Tokens / Minute (Cost of the spy mode in tokens per minute).

The minimum cost of the spy mode is 6 tokens per minute. When registering, the default cost is 1 token, which must be changed. The cost can be changed when the spy mode is on.

7. Set up the cost and minimum duration of private with audio.

Private with voice (Private with audio) is a private with the ability to verbally communicate with the member. Keep inmind that members cannot spy on the voice private even when Spy mode is on. When registering on the platform, the Private with audio mode is disabled by default. 

a. Toggle the Enable button to switch between an ON and an OFF state. The ON state is highlighted in blue.


b. Specify the cost per min and the minimum duration of the show.

Private with audio, Tokens / Minute (Cost of a voice private in tokens per minute). The minimum cost of a private chat is 12 tokens per minute. When registering, the default cost is 1 token. It must be changed.

Minimum duration, Minute (The minimum duration of the voice private in minutes). The minimum number of minutes, the cost of which will be deducted from the visitor's account after the start of private with audio. When registering, the default duration of the voice private is 1 minute.

We recommend that you set the minimum duration of private with audio to 3 minutes.

To disable private with audio, you must toggle the Enable private to an OFF state.

 8. Click on the Save settings button to save the adjustments.

Fill out the profile 

When you turn on DreamSender, the image is automatically adjusted, but you can change the settings manually.

Recommended sequence of image adjustment procedures in DreamSender:

1. White Balance is responsible for the yellow and blue tint of the image. In order to set the parameters manually, disable auto balance by unchecking the Auto checkbox. Stick closer to natural skin tones.

2. Red / Green / Blue  is responsible for manual adjustment of red/green and blue colors separately. We recommend using it only after choosing the desired White Balance settings.

3. Exposure changes the brightness of the image without degrading the image quality at the maximum value. In order to set the parameters manually, disable automatic adjustment by unchecking the Auto checkbox.

4. Gain changes the brightness of the image. Do not increase the Gain parameter if Exposure is not already set to its maximum value, as this will affect the quality of the image.

When adjusting the brightness of the image through Exposure / Gain, the image on the preview should be clearly visible. Add additional light sources if necessary.

Do not let the image overexpose. If necessary, you can lower the Gain, and then interact with the Exposure settings.

5. Saturation can make the picture more vivid and saturated. We do not recommend using the -100 to -1 range.

6. Contrast increases the contrast of the picture. We recommend using a range from 0 to 20.

7. Brightness makes the image lighter or darker but greatly reduces the amount of detail. We recommend using Exposure and Gain for the most part. It will have the same effect. The safe range for Brightness is -10 to 10.

You can save your settings as a preset so that you don't have to configure the camera every time you go online:

The saved preset will be available in the Presets drop-down list.

How to customize a picture in VR

Note: Make sure the camera lens is clean to avoid blurry image.

To go live on the dreamcam.com platform, you must:

2. Launch DreamSender and log in by pressing the LOG IN button.

Dreamcam.com login and password are used for authorization.

4. Check to see if everything is set up properly:

 You are able to see yourself on both 2D and VR previews.

 Your microphone is able to pick up sound: the microphone is selected and it reacts to noise at an appropriate frequency.

 The tilt angle of the camera is within the recommended range.

You can check the angle in the "Gyro" tab.

A red exclamation point will help you find incorrect values.

5. Click on the VR Dreamcam icon. It should turn green.

6. Press the Online button located in the personal account of the model on the dreamcam.com platform to go live. The broadcast will start immediately without any additional confirmation.

How to stream on Dreamcam in 2D

To go online in VR on the Stripchat platform, you must send a request to the Dreamcam platform.

You can apply for Stripchat VR when you create your account at Dreamcam or via support chat.

Please note: VR tokens on Stripchat cost $0.04, your 2D token is calculated at the regular rate of $0.05. VR tokens are paid out along with 2D tokens according to Stripchat rules (weekly, except for transfers). The balance to be paid out is displayed in your personal Stripchat account, where you will also see the VR commission.

How do I apply for Stripchat VR when I sign up to Dreamcam?

At the end of the registration process at Dreamcam, activate the "Join Stripchat VR" tab and fill out all the fields.

How do I apply for Stripchat VR through the support chat?

1. Contact the support chat from the model's personal account.

2. Provide your Stripchat token and your nickname on the Stripchat platform.

The support chat window is located in the bottom right corner of the model's cabinet.

3. Click on Switch to External Broadcast Software (OBS).

4. Click the Show OBS Broadcasting Specification button.

5. Copy the token from the Stream key (token) line by pressing the Copy button.

Wait for the request to be processed. You can get confirmation of Stripchat VR activation in the support chat.

After you receive confirmation of Stripchat VR activation:

1. Log in to DreamSender using your Dreamcam username and password. Links for VR broadcast on Stripchat VR will be added automatically.

2. Start broadcasting by pressing the 2D/VR Stripchat buttons in DreamSender. The buttons should turn green. 

3. Don't forget to enable the VR category on the Stripchat platform. You can do this in the settings for paid streaming modes of Stripchat.

How do I go online?

Do you want to try making unique VR videos and turn your ideas into a source of income? Then this guide is for you!

To record a VR-video, you need DreamSender version 3.9 or higher and a VR camera produced by Dreamcam.

For the best result, prepare the space before recording: clean the camera lens and provide good lighting.

Now you can start recording. Connect the VR camera and microphone (it's mandatory to connect the microphone, but you can mute it if you don't want your voice to be heard in the video).

Set up the recording parameters: set the microphone sample rate to 48,000 Hz, video bitrate to 10,000–15,000, and GOP to 100. And don't forget to calibrate the gyroscope.

By default, videos are saved to drive C. Change it if necessary using the «Streams» tab. Click on «Edit» under «Default Record» and specify a new path for saving your videos. 

Start recording by pressing the «RECORD» button. Monitor the recording duration in the status bar or directly on the VR camera preview.

Stop the recording session by pressing «RECORD» again or clicking «Stop record» on the VR camera preview.

A new gallery window will automatically open, where you can trim the beginning and end of the video.

To change the start and end of your recording:

Open the created content on the Gallery page, select the video you want to edit and click «Start editing».

Move the preview marker to the desired start frame.

Adjust the start trim marker (Mark in) to the preview mark.

Move the preview marker to the desired end frame.

Align the end trim marker (Mark out) with the preview mark.

Save changes by clicking «Save». A new file will be created and highlighted in blue, appearing first in the list of previously created files.

Please note: videos shorter than 10 seconds are not eligible for editing.

To delete an item from the Gallery, select the file and click «Delete selected». 

To find your VR video file, click «Open containing folder» in Gallery and sort by date — the most recent file will be at the top.

How to create a VR video?

The opportunities offered by VR camming are much greater than when broadcasting in 2D: the visitor has the impression that you are in the same room! It helps a lot to imagine that your camera is a person. Approach the camera from behind and give your member a sensuous facial massage or go to your knees in front of the camera so that the member can feel your touch! When you look into the camera, the user gets the impression that you are maintaining eye contact. Use these advantages of the VR streaming to form a stronger bond with a user.

The field of view in VR is much wider, which means that more things are visible. The user can look up or down, right or left, so keep it in mind when preparing the room for the broadcast. We have prepared several videos to highlight the differences and point out important details.

How the members see you

List of common mistakes when broadcasting in VR:

 VR user sees more than in 2D, so take this into account when preparing the room for broadcast. Any mess in your camming space is unacceptable.

There should be no large black objects in the frame (for example, a TV).

There should be no moving objects in the frame. For example, fluttering curtains or dreamcatchers.

There should be no vertical objects positioned close to the camera. For example, it is better to move the microphone outside the field of view.

You need to move the camera very slowly, otherwise, the user will get uncomfortable due to motion sickness.

The camera itself must be positioned at eye level. If it is too low, the user will feel like a dwarf, and if it is set up high – like a giant.

Remember that the visitor feels as if they are in the same room with you - pay as much attention to them as possible and look into their eyes often!
